The Doncaster is in Braidwood, a town of timeless history. With its wide Georgian streets and heritage buildings, the old goldrush town of Braidwood offers a change of pace and country charm. Braidwood is located an easy 50-minute drive along the King’s Highway from Canberra or three hours from Sydney.

The Doncaster has various beautiful interior and garden spaces for bespoke weddings and intimate events. From corporate retreats to private celebrations, we will work with you to create and plan a unique experience.
The Chapel is currently under renovation and will be opened in 2023. We will also launch a wine bar, as well as focussing on wholebeing and wellbeing retreats, monthly cooking schools, and much more.

As you walk through the grand entranceway you will see the old wooden staircase through an arched silhouette which will take you upstairs to your accommodation. The Doncaster’s rooms are elegantly restored, featuring bespoke botanical linen bedheads paired with custom joinery and lighting. Each of the seven rooms has been specially designed with vintage charm, soft wooden floorboards underfoot, hand-crafted furniture, and contemporary accents. At the Doncaster, understated elegance meets old-world chic, relaxation, and comfort.
We have seven rooms, all named after family members. All rooms are centrally heated for winter and summer, with flat-screen TV and complementary Wi-Fi; all are complete with luxe bedding, bathrobes and bath products.
